Let me start off by saying that I think Click-funnels is a cool piece of software. It makes funnel building fun and colourful and very easy with templates that everyone can use. However there in lines the problem.
The templates are the problem. Not because the templates aren’t good or they aren’t proven but because everybody is using them.
In a world where each business shares customers between a 100s of other businesses customer and prospects are becoming more exposed to the traditional marketing funnels online.
Most prospects know what a landing page is if you show them it. They can predict when an upsell is going to happen or what tends to happen at the end of a webinar. We know they know and they know what to expert even before it happens.
The result of this is that because the users of Click Funnels are all using the same templates as a community, everything generally looks and feels the same. The result is that the overall marketplace of prospects become less responsive to these templates and these styles of funnels because they’ve more than likely gone through them already via someone else’s business.
And if the experience that said business delivered to the prospect was a poor one then you better believe that they’ll be steering away from giving out their email or phone number again to anything that even resembles an optin or sales page.
Prospects are getting more savvier at a quicker pace then click funnels will be able to keep up with. The solution to this is quite simple.
Avoid using cookie-cutter templates that look and feel like templates as much as possible. Pay the extra or dedicated the extra time to sit down and design a landing page that doesn’t look like a landing page.
That looks like a nice very inviting website with an irresistible offer. Look at crafting unique funnels that still utilise the principles of marketing but combine different elements in different stages and arrangements to create a unique selling experience.
For example Clients of our capture and convert system enjoy the fact that everything is custom built and steers well away from the normal click funnel style opt in and pushy sales letter style approach.
Now there’s no doubt in my mind that there are many users of click funnels who would disagree and who can even show evidence of multi-million dollar campaigns using click funnels.
However overtime (which has been shown already) conversion rates will drop month after month year after year if you do not strive to innovate your marketing funnels yourself and stay ahead of the ever increasingly savvy prospect.
Here’s a great example.
Who remembers when these types of sales letters where the strongest type of marketing on the planet? When a single sales letter like the below could result in over $24,000,000 in sales in 24 hours?
However now prospects avoid these plain and simple letters at all cost because they’ve since them before again and again in the early 2000’s.
They know its a sales letter, they know what to expect.
The goal here, in any marketing is to do the unexpected and cut through the prospects expectations of what is considered “normal” to fly under the radar and close them as a client.
